Sir Jeffery is a 19th century reimagined digital illustration of rapper Young Thug. Young Thug (Jeffery Williams) is a prolific hitmaker who sits at a high table in his genre.
Naturally, Kenyan artist Young Kev, would want to illustrate him in a perfect situation that reflects his strength. Young Thug is digitally illustrated according to the painting Joshua Tevis, found in the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Joshua Tevis is an original oil painting by Jacob Eichholtz done in 1827. Eichholtz was initially a sign painter and a coppersmith. He eventually ventured into portraiture of which Joshua Tevis was one of his famous pieces. Young Kev’s artistic license with this piece is to insert a dog in the portrait (where Joshua Tevis was originally holding papers). Young Thug has always acknowledged that he loves having dogs, and Young Kev has captured that sentiment by including one in the painting. If you’re a Young Thug fan, you will enjoy having this print to commemorate his talent.
